About me
Hi there. My name is Leo Uribe and I’m a multidisciplinary artist specialising in art murals and 3D street art – also known as anamorphosis, a technique where an image tricks the eye into seeing it as three-dimensional.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia and 15 years ago, I moved to Australia. I now call the Central Coast of NSW home but my work as a mural artist regularly takes me all around Australia.
I have been practising anamorphosis for more than 10 years, initially as a busker/chalk artist in Sydney. My mind-bending 3D chalk artworks captivated locals and tourists alike in the Pitt Street Mall as well as Hyde Park.
Between 2017 and 2023, I collaborated with public art and event management company Zest Events International, executing numerous projects for councils across NSW and Victoria.
My fascination with 3D art has led to a number of projects for festivals, private clients and many councils working with permanent materials, such as acrylic paint, to create lasting murals.
Regardless of the style or subject matter, my aim is to always deliver stunning murals that captivate and inspire.
